Admission Procedure
Session 2024-2025
- The Government of Jharkhand has assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance test for admission into nursing college in the state. Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (J.C.E.C.E.B.) presently organize the B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) Entrance Competitive Examination (B.Sc.N.E.C.E.) entrance test annually.
- All B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) admissions will be based on performance in the entrance exam J.C.E.C.E.B., the candidates must sit for state level entrance exam.
- Online applications are invited from eligible female candidates for admission to the 4 year Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme (Session 2024-2025), commencing in 24th August 2024 to 09th September 2024 at J.C.E.C.E.B. website.
- Those who have appeared for the state-level entrance exam will be asked to sit for a counselling session.

Eligibility requirements for admission:
- Age: The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 30 years.
- Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Candidate with Science who has passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) from recognized board and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
- Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects (PCB) and English.
- English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
- The candidate should be medically fit.
- Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
- Relaxation of 5% of marks shall be granted in minimum eligibility criteria to candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
